WEEDSPORT, NY (April 21, 2025) – Weedsport Kartway’s 2025 season will officially open this weekend with the running of Spring Meltdown Weekend on April 25-27.
A total of 12 classes will compete on each day of racing on Saturday and Sunday, with the event getting started with a Friday evening open practice for all competitors.
Racers in Jr. Red Clone, Jr. Green Clone, Jr. Purple Clone, Jr. Blue Clone, Clone Light, Clone Heavy and Clone Super Heavy will see their races for Weedsport track titles begin, as four PRO divisions will also be in action.
The featured PRO Clone 375 division will compete for a total of $3,000 in first prize money across the weekend.
Friday’s open practice will see pit gates open at 5 p.m. with track time available from 6 to 8 p.m. Early hauler parking will also be available for teams. Everyone entering the pit area will be required to purchase a $10 pit pass, with a $10 kart registration also required for track time.
Pit gates will open on Saturday and Sunday at 8:30 a.m. with a required driver’s meeting at 10:30 a.m., hot laps at 11 a.m. and qualifying beginning at Noon.
Online pre-registration for the weekend is currently available via the Kart Pass App. Day of registration will also be permitted.
Points class pre-entry is set at $35 with PRO Jr. pre-entry set at $40. Saturday’s PRO Clone 375 pre-entry fee is $60, while Sunday’s $2,000 to win event is $75.
The Wight Lightning Racing Rookie Red Clone class will have a free entry fee all weekend.
