Second of Three Weedsport Sportsman Events to Air on Spectrum August 6
Rich Vleck, ROCHESTER, NY, (August 4, 2017)- The second sportsman race of the year at Weedsport Speedway just happened to be the 75-lap Sportsman Classic, and the result was a huge car count battling it out for one of the division’s crown jewels.
Beginning this Sunday, August 6th, at 11:00 AM, the second of three Sportsman events from Weedsport Speedway will start broadcasting on Spectrum Sports Channel (formerly Time Warner Cable Sports Channel) across Upstate New York. Additional airtimes will vary depending on the market and are listed below.
A whopping 65 cars turned out at “The Port” to go after the $2,500 top prize and the Weedsport Production team was there to chronicle it all. The track was in perfect condition for the 75 lap event and the action was heavy throughout. An amazing 13 camera angles were utilized on the night, with four in-car cameras displaying incredible views from the heat of the battle.
Host Rich Vleck is joined by expert Doug Elkins in the booth while veteran pit reporter Paul Szmal gives expert insight from the pits. In addition to all of the racing action, there is another edition of the popular “Kid Question” to bring you closer to the sportsman stars.
Speedway Showcase will air regularly at 11:00 A.M. each Sunday Morning, with more airtimes available throughout the week. After the final airtime, the broadcast will be available on-demand at www.SpeedwayShowcase.com, just as the first two episodes are now. Starting August 20th, one final Sportsman Series event from the Weedsport Speedway will air, followed by the Triple Crown Showdown at Ohsweken Speedway to round out 2017.
