Weedsport Speedway Season Preview Opens Speedway Showcase Coverage
Rich Vleck, ROCHESTER, NY, (June 14, 2017)- This Sunday, June 18, an exciting season of racing from the Weedsport Speedway will begin; but this Sunday will also mark the debut of Speedway Showcase, which looks back at exciting racing from the 2016 season at Weedsport.
Speedway Showcase will officially premiere this Sunday morning at 11:00 A.M. on Spectrum Sports Channel (formerly Time Warner Cable Sports Channel) across Upstate New York. Due to rain washing out the first three events of 2017 at the Weedsport Speedway, the decision was made to look back at the great action at the D-shaped oval in 2016.
Included in the 60-minute recap are all three Big Block Modified events from last summer, three Sportsman Series races, the lone visit by the Empire Super Sprints, plus the World of Outlaws Sprint race. To help transition to 2017, host Rich Vleck sat down with Max McLaughlin, Chuck Hebing, Ronnie Davis III and Jimmy Phelps to get you ready for the summer ahead!
In addition to the 2016 Year in Review and Interviews, the Speedway Showcase crew prepared a pair of sportsman segments from the pits from back in May to highlight their anticipation for the year, plus allowed a little insight in to their racing history in our “Kid Question”.
Speedway Showcase will air regularly at 11:00 A.M. each Sunday Morning, with more airtimes available throughout the week. Starting in July, Speedway Showcase will feature racing action in the 60-minute format, first from Ransomville on July 2nd, then from Weedsport three times this summer. Speedway Showcase in produced by Hot Wings Media and Weedsport Productions. For more information, visit www.SpeedwayShowcase.com.
