WEEDSPORT, NY (October 18, 2018) – Fresh off its inaugural event on October 14, Weedsport Kartway will serve as the title sponsor of the Northeast Racing Products Trade Show Auction Block at the New York State Fairgrounds on November 16-17.
Weedsport Kartway will lead a renewed karting presence at this year’s show which will also include vendor displays and information from Caroga Creek Speedway, Ransomville Speedway’s karting facility, Slack Karts, Mike Babcock Racing and Moran Racing Products.
“We are happy to announce our sponsorship of the Northeast Racing Products Trade Show Auction,” said Weedsport Speedway and Kartway promoter, Jimmy Phelps. “This show is important to the success and sustainability of all types of motorsports in New York State and we wanted to do our part to help Jeremie (Corcoran) and his team continue to push the show in the right direction.”
The combined karting effort at the 2018 Northeast Racing Products show is a partnership of karting enthusiasts looking to help promote the sport and assist future racers in learning more about how to get involved.
“We had such a great turnout at our opening event,” said Phelps. “Karting is a fantastic sport and it is crucial to get the younger generation involved and interested in motorsports. It was our goal to work with Jeremie to put together a strong karting presence in the building and with his help I think we are going to put together a good product for fans and followers to enjoy and learn from, while also creating an opportunity for aspiring racers to obtain the tools to get started in the sport.”
Weedsport Speedway will also have a display over the weekend with remaining 2018 apparel available as well as early schedule dates for the 2019 speedway season.
