The Stars of American Flat Track Visit Weedsport for Party on July 6 then Go Racing on July 7!
WEEDSPORT, NY (June 27, 2018) – The American Flat Track motorcycle series is known nationwide for its handlebar to handlebar action and for the first time the tour will make a stop at Weedsport Speedway on July 6-7 for its New York Short Track special.
America’s original extreme sport, American Flat Track is in its 66th consecutive year of two-wheel competition this season with the overall championship encompassing eight one-mile races, five half-mile races, three TTs, and two short track events.
American Flat Track will visit Florida, Georgia, Texas, California, Arizona, Illinois, Kentucky, Oklahoma, and Ohio before arriving at Weedsport Speedway for its second short track event of the tour.
“Bringing in American Flat Track for 2018 goes hand-in-hand with our goal of bringing the best in short track racing, of all kinds, to Weedsport Speedway,” said Weedsport Speedway promoter, Jimmy Phelps. “We’ve had a great start to 2018 at The Port and now we look forward to our first motorcycle show as we continue to diversify the action at Weedsport in hopes of bringing our fans the very best motorsports have to offer.”
While racing action gets underway on Saturday, July 7, the party will officially begin on Friday, July 6 with the weekend’s Kick-Off Party and Bike Night, running from 6-9 p.m.
Fans will have an opportunity to meet the stars of the American Flat Track tour at the party while enjoying several food options, craft beer, local wine and other drink specials.
An American Flat Track autograph session will run from 6-7:30 p.m. along with a Harley Hooligans autograph session.
A Grim Company Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Stunt Show will also be part of the evening, as well as several giveaways including a Nicky Hayden Arai helmet, Vance & Hines exhaust, Dunlop Tires, SUNOCO gas cards and more.
