WEEDSPORT, NY (August 12, 2024) – Weedsport Kartway’s postponed Short Port Shootout will now be contested as part of Octoberfest Weekend on Sunday, October 27.
With several inches of rainfall last week and more rain predicted for race day, the August 11 Short Port Shootout was postponed. The event will now join Octoberfest VI on Sunday, October 27, making the event a two-day racing program.
The originally planned Octoberfest VI event on Saturday, October 26 will remain unaltered with all eight points divisions in action, alongside a 50-lap, $3,000 to win main event for PRO Clone 360.
The following day on October 27, the entire Short Port Shootout program will take place with the final events of the season for the eight points divisions, as well as a $1,000 to win finale for PRO Clone 360.
Those who pre-registered for the Short Port Shootout will be given credits to use at any future Weedsport Kartway program.
The next scheduled event at Weedsport Kartway will be the James Shutts Memorial on Sunday, September 15. Points racing will begin the day followed by a $1,000 to win PRO Clone 360 feature and the 7th annual PRO Clone Super Heavy James Shutts Memorial, paying a minimum of $1,222 to the winner.
