WEEDSPORT, NY (June 4, 2024) – Weedsport Kartway’s Slack Karts Super Kart Series, presented by Pit Stop Convenience Stores, Independent Pizzeria, Infinit Technology Solutions and Burris Racing tire, will return to action on Sunday, June 16 for the Pencils Down Showdown.
All eight points classes will be on the racing card along with a $1,000 to win PRO Clone 360 main event.
Heading into June 16, Seth Whitney holds the points lead in both the Clone Light and Clone Heavy divisions after sweeping the opening weekend of racing in April.
In Light, Whitney holds a 30-point advantage over Matthew Barry and Tanner Emmons, while Whitney stands just 13-points ahead of Emmons and Trent Smith in Heavy.
Clone Super Heavy sees a tight battle at the top between opening weekend main event winners William Young and Jordan Sullivan, as the two are just 4-point apart.
The Junior divisions are led by Bryson Herriven (Jr. Red), Luke Holmes (Jr. Green), Levi Herriven (Jr. Purple), Timmy Axton (Jr. Blue) and Joey Surman (Jr. Unrestricted.)
The Pencils Down Showdown will mark the third event of the season at the kartway following the cancelation of the May 5 Kart Cup due to inclement weather.
Pit gates will open on June 16 at 8:30 a.m. with hot laps slated for 11 a.m. and heat racing at Noon. Pre-Registration for the weekend is now available via the Kart Pass app.
Online pre-registration for points classes is just $25, with online pre-registration in PRO Clone 360 set at $60.
