WEEDSPORT, NY (April 30, 2024) – The Racers Preferred Models Hard Charger Challenge will award a total of $3,000 in cash and contingencies to three Big Block Modified drivers and three Sportsman drivers that compete at Weedsport Speedway on May 26, July 14 and September 7.
The three drivers in each class that pass the most cars in their heat and feature races over the course of the three race dates will earn the bonus cash and contingencies, courtesy of Racers Preferred Models and Rob & Jennifer Mortier.
“We are excited to partner with Rob, Jennifer and Racers Preferred Models this season as they are giving back in a big way to Modified and Sportsman teams at Weedsport this season,” said Weedsport Speedway promoter, Jimmy Phelps. “Racers Preferred Models will also be the official model of our Gearbox merchandise store, with inventory available all year for fans to choose from.”
The Racers Preferred Models Hard Charger Challenge champion in each division will receive a minimum of $300 in cash, the challenge trophy, as well as a certificate to have their car designed as a model with six copes made, plus shipping to the race team.
The runner-up in each division will be awarded $150 cash and three design copies, while third will take home $100 cash and a certificate to the RPM store for $100.
As an added bonus, Racer Preferred Models will donate $5 for each model sold in the Gearbox during the season, with the proceeds to go directly to the Hard Charger Challenge champion in each division.
In addition, a second 50/50 ticket will be drawn on May 26, July 14 and September 7 with the winning fan earning their choice of model in the Gearbox.
