WEEDSPORT, NY (August 28, 2020) – Yet another extension of New York State Executive Orders disallowing spectators at racing facilities, means Weedsport Speedway’s Cavalcade Cup Weekend, set for September 11-12, has been canceled.
“It is again unfortunate that we have to cancel a racing weekend, especially this two day event that was set to bring so many teams and fans to The Port,” said Weedsport Speedway promoter, Jimmy Phelps. “Special events at Weedsport are made by having our great fans in our grandstands, and unfortunately that is not possible at this time.”
Ticket and camping refunds will be issued for Cavalcade Cup Weekend.
Refunds will be automatically issued to the original form of payment for those who purchased within 90 days of the event. Tickets or camping purchased more than 90 days prior to the event will be issued and mailed a refund check.
With this latest cancelation, Weedsport Speedway’s next scheduled event is set to be the Super DIRT Week Kick-Off Party on Wednesday, October 7, featuring the DIRTcar 358-Modifieds and DIRTcar Sportsman.
Weedsport Kartway will return to racing on Sunday, August 30 with the second annual Kart Cup. For more information visit www.weedsportspeedway.com/kartway.
