Round 1 for Sportsman Competitors Kicks Off May 3rd

While the 2015 Weedsport Speedway schedule promises to bring the biggest and best traveling series divisions that dirt track racing has to offer, there will be a steady diet of Sportsman competition. The Stars of the fastest growing division in the northeast will take to the 3/8 oval on 7 different occasions in 2015.  Starting on May 3rd as part of the inaugural IMCA Modified Northeast Shootout, the Sportsman winner will take home $1,000 dollars and plenty of momentum to head into the Sportsman Classic, which is presented by Industrial Tire of CNY on July 5th. Up for grabs is the chance to win $2,500 and lots of contingency prizes. Points will also accrue and count toward the FX Caprara Upstate Sportsman Alliance competition.
